Regular town board meeting held on September 9th, 2014 at the Wabeno Town Hall Meeting Room.  Meeting notice was posted in 3 places in town: Post Office, Wabeno Hardware & the Town Hall Window Box.

Present were Chairman Edward Piontek, Supervisors Paul Ehlinger & Tom Tallier, Treasurer Cheryl Ehlinger and Clerk Brenda St. Peter.

Ed called the meeting to order at 7pm.

People present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Tom made a motion to approve the agenda as presented.  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

Brenda read the minutes of the August 26th, 2014 meeting.  Paul made a motion to amend the minutes to read that Treasurer Cheryl Ehlinger was present at the meeting and that the sold wayside land is Lot #2.  Tom seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

Public Comments: 

Raletta Ashbeck called to the boards attention the curb by the old bait shop is illegally painted yellow.  She presented the board with a letter.  Raletta also asked about a closed session meeting with Steve Ashbeck.  Ed will schedule this meeting as time allows. 

Kevin Podjaski gave an update on the boardwalk progress.  He also gave information on the Wisconsin Rustic Roads project. 

Brenda read the minutes of the closed session meeting held on September 4th on deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of pubic properties.  Tom made a motion to rescind the motion made in closed session on September 4th   to accept $2,000 per acre for lots 1,3,4,5,6, & 7 for a total of 91.74 acres.  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

Paul made a motion to accept $180,000 for lots 1,3,4,5,6 and 7 for a total of 91.74 acres.  Tom seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

The board discussed the town committees and who will oversee them.

A discussion was held on the sidewalk ordinance.  The board members praised the business owners and committees for making our town sidewalk look so appealing. 

Wisconsin Public Service is behind schedule due to the recent weather.  The recycling center is still waiting for power for the trash compactors.

Officer Mick Ashbeck presented the board with policies and procedures for the police department. 

Checks were 3658-3701.

Paul made a motion to adjourn.  Tom seconded the motion.  The motion carried.
