Regular town board meeting held on May 6th, 2013 at the town meeting room.


Meeting notice was posted in 3 places in town: Post Office, Wabeno Hardware & the Town Hall window.


Present were Chairman Edward Piontek, Supervisors Paul Ehlinger & Dennis Kopecky & Clerk Brenda St. Peter.


List of those attending is attached. 


Dennis made a motion to amend the agenda and add Public Comments on item 4.  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.


Clerk read the minutes of the April 16th, 2013 meeting.  Dennis made a motion to amend the minutes to include the discussion of the 25% stewardship sales for the Forest Service.  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.


Dennis made a motion to designate the ‘old dump site’ as a site for natural disaster debris.  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.


Dennis made a motion to reject the contract from the Forest County Humane Society.  Ed seconded the motion.  The motion carried.


The Wabeno Board will go to the Freedom Town Board meeting on May 14th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the road right-a-way between Freedom and Wabeno on Hwy 32.


May 17th, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. is the time & date set for the road tour.


May 20th, 2013 at 6 p.m. is the time & date set for the town board audit.

Dennis made a motion to go into closed session under Sec. 19.85 (1)(e).  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.  Roll call taken:  Ed yes, Dennis yes, Paul yes


Dennis made a motion to return to open session.  Paul seconded the motion.  The motion carried.  Roll call taken: Ed yes, Dennis yes, Paul yes


Dennis made a motion to accept the preliminary survey of the plotted areas by MSA & to retain legal staff to work out roadway & abandon the Jecklin’s Out Lots & the one area left out of the plat.  Ed seconded the motion.  The motion carried.


Checks were 2276 – 2322. 

Ed made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Dennis seconded the motion.  The motion carried.
