Regular town board meeting held on August 20th, 2013, at the town meeting room.
Meeting notice was posted in 3 places in town: Post Office, Wabeno Hardware & the Town Hall Window Box.
Present were Chairman Edward Piontek, Supervisors Paul Ehlinger & Dennis Kopecky, Clerk Brenda St. Peter & Treasurer, Cheryl Ehlinger. List of those attending is attached.
Ed called the meeting to order at 7 pm.
Dennis made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Paul seconded the motion the motion carried.
Brenda read the minutes of the August 6th meeting. Dennis made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Mike Chrisman discussed road use on Sanitary District land.
Tim Tucker discussed pot hole on ally by his home.
Mike Pichotta would like to see speed limit signs on Bay Shore Farm Rd.
Paul would like to see the town board members and the town committee boards to work more closely on pay increases.
Clean up on town properties discussed.
Ed discussed grant opportunities for roads.
Dennis made a motion to approve an Operator’s License for Richard Symes. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Dennis made a motion to approve a ‘temporary Class B’ license for Rusty’s Wabeno Bowl. Ed seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Michael Friesen applied for a Class B intoxicating liquor license. This has been declined until the town board knows if there are liquor licenses to be given out.
There was a motion by Paul to approve the Nutrition Site Agreement. Dennis seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Band Shell rededication is moving forward.
Dennis made a motion to have work done through John Hogan for the culvert replacement, not to exceed $2000. Ed seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Irish Made is to be given a 60 day notice. A cleaning list will be made and the cleaning of the town hall will be put on bids.
Steam Hauler is moving forward.
Generator wiring for town hall is tabled.
September 10th & Sept. 24th, 2013 at 7pm is the date & time set for the next meetings.
