Regular town board meeting held on June 18th, 2013, at the town meeting room.

Meeting notice was posted in 3 places in town: Post Office, Wabeno Hardware & the Town Hall Window Box.
Present were Chairman Edward Piontek, Supervisors Paul Ehlinger & Dennis Kopecky & Clerk Brenda St. Peter.

Ed called the meeting to order at 7 pm.

Dennis made a motion to approve the agenda. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Brenda read the minutes of the June 4th, 2013 meeting. Dennis made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Public Comments

Ralph McHugh – expressed concerns with neighbors

Officer Michael Ashbeck suggested we redo the bartender’s license application to include full name.

Brenda read a letter from Lois & Jim Stone recognizing the excellent conditions of the tennis courts & park.

Officer Michael Ashbeck shared his ‘Who’s Who’s Award’ that has been presented to him. His name will forever be in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.

Paul made a motion to approve the following liquor licenses. Dennis seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Class C – Flowers Galore
Bartender’s License – Brenda L. Michiel
Bowling Lanes Permit – Rusty’s Wabeno Bowl
Pool Table License – Rusty’s Wabeno Bowl, R-Place Bar & Grill, & Bottom’s Up
Cigarette & Tobacco License – Potawatomi Carter Casino & Hotel

Scott Schuhart gave an update on the Sanitary District. Work has been done on leaks on River St. and Mill Lane.

The Friends of Wabeno will have a meeting on June 22, 2013 at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Jim Bubb discussed his work as a Humane Officer in Oconto County.

Pat Crawford from Shawano is working on getting prices on track parts for the Steam Hauler.

The Band Shell construction is moving along.

Discussion on Steam-Up banners & other banners to promote Wabeno activities.

Discussion on updating Fire Number Signs.

Razing Permit & Pre-demolition Permits shown at meeting.

Dennis made a motion to approve the 1033 program for one more year with a $500 fee. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Generator Wiring specs to be written up and put on bids.

Tuesday, July 9th and Tuesday, July 30th are the dates set for the July Town Board meetings.

Cheryl presented the financial reports.

Paul made a motion to accept checks 2393-2437 with voids of 2393, 2394, 2397, 2399, & 2404. Dennis seconded the motion. The motion carried.
