Regular town board meeting held on October 13th, 2016 at 6pm at the town hall meeting room. Notice was posted in 3 places in town: post office, hardware store and the town hall window box.
Present were Chairman Paul Ehlinger, Supervisors Jim Smith & Nancy Schuhart, Treasurer Chris Geske. Absent: Brenda St. Peter, Clerk
Paul called the meeting to order at 6pm.

Nancy made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Paul seconded the motion. 3 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
Chris Geske read the minutes from the September 15 meeting. Jim made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Nancy seconded the motion. 3 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
Alan Harrison spoke about concerns regarding the Trump Lake pavilion. He states that there are organizations willing to donate funds for repairs. This will be discussed more at the next town board meeting.
Mike Richmond discussed the holding tank at Trump Lake. This will also be discussed at the next town board meeting. Mike also expressed praise for the Trump Lake Road project.
The board addressed a letter from the Forest County Com. On Aging. There was a motion by Jim to waive any rental fees for the Commission on Aging for hall use regarding senior meal site. Nancy seconded the motion. 3 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
Chris Behrndt applied for a building permit for 2871 Trump Lake Road. Board will approve permit provided that a county permit has also been obtained.
Jim gave an update on the Trump Lake Road project. The county is planning to pave mid-October. Scott Shaffer to supervise and make sure widths are correct.
Paul contacted Rob Dailey in regards to cutting the dead tree in front of the town hall. Rob Dailey is insured for this type of work. Paul will work with Scott Shaffer and WPS on this tree and possibly 2 others.
Jim commented that Jay Schaefer from the Humane Society states that Fred Bath is still listed as the Humane Officer for Wabeno.
The Park Board has hired Tom Ehlinger to work on the front of the museum.
The financial report was presented by Chris.
A working budget meeting is set for October 27th at 6pm. If needed, October 28th will also be considered for budget meeting.
The next town board meeting is set for November 3rd at 6pm.
A motion was made by Jim to go into closed session under SS19.85(1)(e) and SS19.85(1)(c) to discuss the United Area Rescue Squad contract and employee benefits. Paul seconded the motion. 3 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
