Regular town board meeting held on November 11th, 2014 at the Town Hall Meeting Room. Meeting notice was posted in 3 places in town: Post Office, Wabeno Hardware & the Town hall Window box.
Present were Chairman Edward Piontek, Supervisors Paul Ehlinger & Tom Tallier, Treasurer Cheryl Ehlinger and Clerk Brenda St. Peter.

Ed called the meeting to order at 7pm.
People present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Tom made a motion to approve the agenda. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Tom made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 14th, meeting. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Public Comments: Raletta Ashbeck asked about a meeting with Steve. Ed is working on this.
Kevin Podjaski asked about the Rustic Roads project. Brenda will be working on moving forward with paperwork.
Brenda read a letter from the Kohler Foundation advising the town of Wabeno they will not be awarding a grant for the Barrier-Free Boardwalk and Trail Signage.
Brenda read a letter from Forest County E911. Chairman Ed Piontek signed a Joint Powers Agreement for the year 2015.
Permits or Licensees:
Linda J Hatfield was approved for a Bartender’s License for Pichotta’s Pub & Grub.
Appointment of a new land board member – tabled
Discussion was held on a spring house public meeting. Contact will be made with Dave Ziolkowsk (Forestry Parks) and Pam Labine (Zoning) for availability.
Ed read Mary Beck’s e-mail on working with the Americorps. Tom made a motion to approve for Mary Beck to apply for the NCCC Americorps session. Paul seconded the motion. The motion carried. Also discussed was Wabeno High School’s offer of the Family & Consumer Ed classroom for sleeping and kitchen and laundry facilities. Also more classrooms are available for the 12 workers if needed. The rooms are available until classes resume. Mary is looking for a grant to hire a supervisor on site for the 12 weeks the participants will be here.
Ed and Mary Beck will be meeting with Eugene Shawano on November 18, 2014 at 10 am at tribal headquarters to discuss grocery store options.
The cleaning contract was discussed. Brenda will rewrite the contract and present at the next town board meeting. Dana Pichotta is cleaning the hall presently.
Discussion was held on updating the K-9 bi-laws. There will be a meeting on Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 following the budget meeting with town board and K-9 board to rewrite the bi-laws.
Tony’s Wabeno Redi-Mix pit – withdrawn
Paul made a motion to take $4,000 out of the contingency budget to be put into the Humane Officer budget. Ed seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The next regular town board meeting will be on December 9th, 2014 at 7pm.
Cheryl presented the board with the financial statement.
Checks were 3792 – 3857 with a void of 3834.
